Postnatal care
Your postnatal care needs are as individual as your pregnancy. Emily and Lucy work together and independently to provide you with the level of support you and your family wishes. (If you choose a Doula only package Midwife support will be required in addition either with Emily or with the NHS.)
Lucy Serafi has worked as a Maternity Support Worker for over 15 years. Working within the NHS Maternity Services and privately as a clinical doula providing seamless care packages to enhance women’s experience of pregnancy, birth and the post-natal weeks and months.
“Supporting multiple families on their individual journeys to parenthood in the NHS and private sector I see how hugely beneficial wrap-around continuity of care is to new parents. I am profoundly passionate about providing this care to ensure as smooth a start as possible for my clients. My very diverse experience allows me to tailor the care provided to you and your family dependent on the circumstance and, of course always in line with your wishes.
My goal is to support parents to feel empowered to start their journey into parenthood in the most nurtured and positive way possible.”
Lucy lives in Mottram St Andrew with her 2 teenage boys both of whom were born prematurely and 1 requiring 6 years of surgeries due to a rare form of spina bifida giving her a unique insight into the stress of having a vulnerable newborn and navigating hospital culture making her an ideal advocate for all new parents.
